WHAT Is a
facelift?

A facelift surgically improves visible signs of aging in the face and neck. The loss of youthful contours can happen for a variety of reasons such as the natural aging process, weight loss, gravity, sun damage, smoking, and heredity and stress.

What a facelift can't do:
A facelift is a restorative surgery, it will not change your fundamental appearance and does not stop the aging process. A facelift can only be performed surgically. Minimally invasive techniques do exist, but they can never achieve the same results. These type of techniques may prolong the need for a facelift, but they do not replace the results.

What is the recovery timeline for a facelift?
Following your facelift you will have a bandage placed around your face to minimize swelling and bruising. Small drains may be necessary to draw off excess fluids. 

You will be provided specific instructions on how to care for your surgical site, if you have any questions my office is available to answer!

Most patients can expect small scars near their ears and/or in their hairline that become less visible over time. Most of my patients feel comfortable in public within 10-14 days post-op and will feel "back to normal" within 2-3 months. 

As swelling and bruising subside, the visible results will begin to appear. My goal, as your surgeon, is a more youthful and rested appearance as well as increased confidence.
